Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 1/12/24
- Crews added temporary handrails at the Pedestrian Bridge to open for pedestrian traffic.
- Crews finished paving the final lift of asphalt on Lowson Blvd from Congress to the Pedestrian Bridge.
- Crews also continued placing the final lift of asphalt on SW 10th St between I-95 Bridge to SW 10th Ave.
- Installation of new Street Signs began along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to Homewood.
- Installation of new drainage work at SE 10th and Old Dixie Hwy is complete. Crews are now working on reconfiguring the new island at the SE corner of the intersection.
- Installation of new Sidewalks along the South side of SE 10th St continued between Old Dixie Hwy to SE 3rd Ave.
Upcoming Week of January 15th
- No Work is scheduled on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
- Continue paving the final lift of asphalt on SW 10th St between I-95 Bridge to SE 8th Ave.
- Continue installation of new curb & gutters at the intersection of SE 10th Ave and Old Dixie Hwy, including new island.
- Continue adding new Curb & Gutters and Sidewalk along the south side of SE 10th St between Old Dixie Hwy to SE 3rd Ave.
- Continue adding new Street Signs along Lowson Blvd between Homewood Blvd to Congress.
