Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 11/17/23
- Crews continued with framing and pouring concrete for the new 10’ wide shared use path along the south side of SE 10th St between Federal Hwy and SE 3rd Ave.
- Crews continued installing the new drainage structures and pipe along SE 10th St between SE 3rd Ave and Old Dixie Hwy.
- Crews are placing the final lift of asphalt at SW 10th St and Swinton Ave today, Friday, November 17th.
Upcoming Week of Nov 20th
- Continue with installation of the new 10’ wide shared use path along the south side of SE 10th St between Federal Hwy and SE 3rd Ave.
- Continue installing drainage structures and pipes on SE 10th St between SE 2nd Ave and Old Dixie Hwy.
- Install new Guard Rail on the south side of Lowson Blvd near Dover Rd.
Thanksgiving Holiday Observed
- No work is scheduled over the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday and Friday, November 23 – 24.
Pedestrian Bridge Update

- Delivery and installation of the new Pedestrian Bridge is expected the week of November 27th.
- Please note that during installation of the new Pedestrian Bridge, Day Time Road Closure will be in place while they have a crane onsite to place the new bridges.
- Posted Detours will be in place to detour motorists south on both Congress and on Homewood to use Linton Ave.
