Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 11/3/23:
- Crews framed up and poured new Concrete Curb & Gutters and Sidewalks and Bus Pad along the South side of SW 10th St between Congress to the RR Tracks.
- Crews continued with framing up and pouring new concrete Curb & Gutters and sidewalks along the North side of SE 10th St between SE2nd Ave to SE 4th Ave.
- Crews placed asphalt along SE 10th St between SE 4th Ave to SE 2nd Ave in the West Bound Lane along the newly installed Curb and Sidewalk.
- Crews began removing the existing sidewalks along the south side of SE 10th St between SE 4th Ave to SE 3rd Ave for the new 10’ wide shared use path.
Upcoming Week of Nov 6th:
- Finish paving the 1st lift of asphalt at the intersection of SW 10th St and Swinton Ave.
- Continue with removal of the existing sidewalks along the south side of SE 10th St between SE 4th Ave to SE 2nd Ave and framing up and pouring the new 10’ wide concrete shared use path.
- Begin installing drainage structures and pipes on SE 10th St between SE 2nd Ave to Old Dixie Hwy.
- Finish pouring the concrete sidewalks along the South side of SW 10th St just east of Congress and install the Bus Pad shelter on the new pad.
- Install new Guard Rail on the south side of Lowson Blvd near Dover Rd.
Pedestrian Bridge Update:
- Delivery and installation of the new Pedestrian Bridge is expected in Mid to Late November.
Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
