Weekly Update 8/4/2023

Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 8/4/23:
- Work along SW 10^th St between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave in the Road Closed Section continued with completion of the remaining concrete sidewalks. Crews also paved the final lift of asphalt and installed the new pavement markings. New signage is also being installed and new School Zone Flashing Signs to be installed today.
- Reopening of SW 10^th St between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave is scheduled for mid-afternoon on 8/4/2023.
- Gravity Wall work continued at the Pedestrian Bridge on the West side. Two of the four gravity walls are now complete.
- Crews also continued working along SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave on the South Side of the roadway for the new concrete curb & gutters and Shared Use Path.
- Crews finished paving the first lift of asphalt on SW 10^th St between SW 8^th Ave to SW 10^th Ave.

Upcoming Week of August 7^th:
- SW 10^th Street between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave will be open for the first day of school at Pine Grove Elementary.
- Construction of the new shared use paths and curb & gutters along the south side of SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave will continue.
- New Curb & Gutters and sidewalks will begin at the intersection of SW 10^th St and SW 10^th Ave in the Southwest and Southeast corners.
- Work at the Pedestrian Bridges will continue on the West side for the new gravity walls for the approach slabs.
- Drainage Work along SE 10^th St between Old Dixie Hwy to SE 4^th Ave is scheduled to begin.
