Weekly Update 7/21/2023

Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 7/21/23:
- Work continued along SW 10^th St between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave in the Road Closed Section with crews framing up and pouring concrete curb & gutters, Sidewalks and Driveways. Finished grading the new rock base and paved the first lift of Asphalt between SW 4^th Ave to SW 6^th Ave. Workers also began placing the sod in the new parkways along the North and South sides of SW 10^th St. The first lift of asphalt is now complete on the SW 10^th St section between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave.
- Crews also paved the temporary asphalt shared use path along the south side of SW 10^th St near Pine Grove Elementary School.
- Crews also continued working along SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave working on the South Side of the roadway for the new concrete curb & gutters and Shared Use Path.
Upcoming Week of July 24^th:
- SW 10^th Street is closed to Thru Traffic during the reconstruction of the roadway between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave.
- The roadway closure is expected to last from June 5^th thru August 4^th while Pine Grove Elementary is out of session for the summer.
- Detour Route is set up to detour traffic to the North on SW 4^th Ave and SW 8^th Ave and to use SW 4^th Street to the East and West.
- Work will continue framing up and pouring the last remaining concrete sidewalks and driveways, as well as placing sod in the remaining parkways.
- Work at the Pedestrian Bridges will continue on the West side for the new gravity walls for the approach slabs.
- Work along SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave will continue along the South side for installing new concrete curb & gutters and Shared Use Path.
Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
