Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 2/9/24
- Crews completed the 1st lift of Asphalt on SE 10th St between Old Dixie Hwy to Federal Hwy.
- Pavement Milling on SW 10th St between Congress to the RR Tracks east of Congress was completed, followed by paving the 1st lift of asphalt. Final lift of asphalt will be completed today, 2/9/24.
- Crews added more Concrete Shared Use Path along the South side of Lowson Blvd near the SW corner at Congress.
Upcoming Week of February 12th
- Finish paving the final lift of Asphalt on SE 10th St between Federal Hwy to Old Dixie Hwy.
- Begin grading the remaining areas in the parkways and swales on SE 10th St for placement of Sod.
- Contractor will begin doing some pavement repairs to the Asphalt along SW 10th St and also on Lowson Blvd just East of Homewood.
- Installation of new guard rail at Lowson Blvd and Dover Rd at the Canal.
- Installation of the final handrails at the Pedestrian Bridge is expected in March.
Upcoming Construction at the intersection of SW 10th St/Lowson Blvd and Congress Ave.
- New ADA ramps and sidewalks are planned to be installed at the intersection at all four corners with new Pedestrian Signals.
- Night Time Work – Milling and Paving of the intersection will take place at Night. As date approaches, a new update will be posted.
