Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 11/10/23
- Crews reinstalled the Bus Pad Shelter on the new concrete pad and sidewalk area along the south side of SW 10th St just East of Congress.
- Crews also continued with framing up and pouring concrete for the new 10’ wide shared use path along the south side of SE 10th St between Federal Hwy to SE 3rd Ave.
- Crews also began installing the remaining new drainage structures and pipe along SE 10th St between SE 3rd Ave to Old Dixie Hwy.
- Crews also began placing the asphalt pad for under the new Guard Rail along the south side of Lowson Blvd near the canal at Dover Rd.
- Friday, November 10th – No Work is scheduled in observance of Veterans Day.
Upcoming Week of Nov 13th
- Finish paving the 1st lift of asphalt at the intersection of SW 10th St and Swinton Ave.
- Continue with installation of the new 10’ wide shared use path along the south side of SE 10th St between Federal Hwy to SE 3rd Ave.
- Continue installing drainage structures and pipes on SE 10th St between SE 2nd Ave to Old Dixie Hwy.
- Install new Guard Rail on the south side of Lowson Blvd near Dover Rd.
Pedestrian Bridge Update
- Delivery and installation of the new Pedestrian Bridge is expected around November 27th. Please note that during installation of the new Pedestrian Bridge, day time road closures will be in place while they have a crane onsite to place the new bridges. Posted detours will be in place during this time. More updates will follow as that date approaches.
