Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 10/20/23
- Installation of the new Concrete Curb & Gutters and Sidewalks along SW 10th St between SW 4th Ave to Swinton Ave is nearly 95% complete.
- Placement of the 1st lift of asphalt on SW 10th St between Swinton to SW 4th Ave was completed.
- Temporary Pavement Markings were placed on the 1st lift of Asphalt on SW 10th St from Swinton to SW 4th Ave.
- Crews continued with grading parkways for Sod along SW 10th St between SW 4th Ave and SW 2nd Ave.
- Crews placed new sod along North side of SW 10th St between SW 8th Ave and SW 10th Ave.
- Crews poured new curbs at the corners of SW 10th St and SW 10th Ave on North side to help correct ponding water at that intersection.
- Work began on SE 10th St between SE 2nd Ave to SE 4th Ave to begin installing the new Curb & Gutters along the North side of roadway.
Upcoming Week of Oct 23rd
- Finish paving the 1st lift of asphalt at the intersection of SW 10th St and Swinton Ave.
- Continue with installing new concrete Curb & Gutters along the North side of SE 10th St between SE 2nd Ave to SE 4th Ave.
- Continue with grading parkways and swales along SW 10th St between SW 4th Ave to Swinton Ave and placing sod.
- Begin preparation for placement of the final lift of Asphalt on Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the Pedestrian Bridge.
- Install new Guard Rail on the south side of Lowson Blvd near Dover Rd.
Pedestrian Bridge Update
- Delivery and installation of the new Pedestrian Bridge is expected in Mid to Late November.
Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
