- Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 8/18/23:
- Crews continued working along SW 10th St between SW 10th Ave to SW 15th Ave working on the South Side of the roadway for the new concrete curb & gutters and Shared Use Path.
- Crews began excavating and installing the new Curb & Gutters at the intersection of SW 10th St and SW 10th Ave in both the SW and SE corners, as well installing new bases for the Pedestrian Signals and push buttons.
- Crews began placing sod in the remaining areas along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the Pedestrian Bridge.
- Work also continued at the Pedestrian Bridge at excavating for the remaining gravity walls for the approach areas.
- Work also began along SW 10th St between SW4th Ave to SW 2nd Ave on the North side for constructing the new Shared Use Path and roadway realignment.
- Upcoming Week of August 21st:
- Construction of the new shared use paths and curb & gutters along the south side of SW 10th St between SW 10th Ave to SW 15th Ave will continue.
- Continue installing the new Curb & Gutters and sidewalks at the intersection of SW 10th St and SW 10th Ave in the Southwest and Southeast corners and new Pedestrian Crossing Signals/Push buttons.
- Work at the Pedestrian Bridges will continue on the West side for the new gravity walls for the approach slabs.
- Continue Installation of Sod along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the Pedestrian Bridge at the remaining areas to have sod placed.
- Continued along SW 10th St between SW 4th Ave to Swinton along the North side for new concrete curb & gutters, sidewalks and driveways.
- Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
