Weekly Update 8/11/2023

Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 8/11/23:
- SW 10^th St between SW 4^th Ave and SW 8^th Ave was reopened on 8/5/23.
- New school zone signage with flashers was added along SW 10^th St at Pine Grove Elementary.
- Crews continued working along SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave on the south side of the roadway for the new concrete curb & gutters and shared use path.
- Crews began excavating and installing the new curb & gutters at the intersection of SW 10^th St and SW 10^th Ave in both the SW and SE corners.
- Grading in the parkways and prepping the remaining areas for sod took place along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the pedestrian bridge.

Upcoming Week of August 14^th:
- Construction of the new shared use paths and curb & gutters along the south side of SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave will continue.
- Continue installing the new curb & gutters and sidewalks at the intersection of SW 10^th St and SW 10^th Ave in the SW and SE corners.
- Work at the pedestrian bridges will continue on the West side for the new gravity walls for the approach slabs.
- Installation of sod in the remaining areas along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the pedestrian bridge.
- Drainage work along SE 10^th St between Old Dixie Hwy to SE 4^th Ave is scheduled to begin.
