Weekly Update 7/14/2023

Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 7/14/23:
- Crews began installing new Handrails along the Shared Use Path along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the Pedestrian Bridge just East of Homewood Blvd.
- Work continued along SW 10^th St between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave in the Road Closed Section with crews framing up and pouring concrete curb & gutters, Sidewalks and Driveways. Excavation for the new sub-base continued along with placing the new base rock. The first lift of Asphalt was also placed between SW 6^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave.
- Crews also was working along SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave working on the South Side of the roadway for the new concrete curb & gutters and Shared Use Path.
- Crews will be working this Saturday, 7/15/23 in the SW 10^th Ave Road Closed section with grading the new rock base and getting the last section ready for the 1^st lift of Asphalt.

Upcoming Week of July 17^th:
- SW 10^th Street is closed to Thru Traffic during the reconstruction of the roadway between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave.
- The roadway closure is expected to last from June 5^th thru August 4^th while Pine Grove Elementary is out of session for the summer.
- Detour Route is set up to detour traffic to the North on SW 4^th Ave and SW 8^th Ave and to use SW 4^th Street to the East and West.
- Crews will continue with grading the remaining area of Rock Base and getting the last section ready to pave the 1^st lift of asphalt. Crews will also be grading the parkways and getting ready to place sod.
- Work at the Pedestrian Bridges will continue on the West side for the new gravity walls for the approach slabs.
- Work along SW 10^th St between SW 10^th Ave to SW 15^th Ave will continue along the South side for installing new concrete curb & gutters and Shared Use Path.
Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
