• Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 6/9/23
    • Crews continued framing up and setting rebar for the new concrete abutments which will support the new Pedestrian Bridges along Lowson Blvd at the Canal Bridge just West of Congress.
    • Crews poured concrete for the Shared Use Path on the North side of SW 10th St from SW 17th Ave to the Railroad Crossing.
    • Crews began removing sidewalks along the North Side of SW10th St between SW 4th Ave to Mango Dr to begin installation of the new concrete sidewalks.
    • SW 10th St between SW 4th Ave to SW 8th Ave became closed for Reconstruction on 6/6/23.
    • Crews will be working Saturday 6/10/23 in the Road Closed Section between SW 4th Ave to SW 8th Ave.
  • Upcoming Week of 6/12/23
    • Continue pouring the new Concrete Shared Use path along the North side of SW 10th St from SW 17th Ave to the Railroad Crossing.
    • Continue with sidewalk improvements along the North side of SW 10th St between SW 4th Ave to Mango Dr.
    • Continue framing up and setting rebar for the new Pedestrian Bridge abutments along Lowson Blvd at the Canal Bridge East of Congress and pouring concrete.
  • SW 10th Street Road Closure Update
    • SW 10th Street is closed to Thru Traffic during the reconstruction of the roadway between SW 4th Ave to SW 8th Ave. This work will include removal of the exiting roadway, installation of new road base and pavement, along with new Concrete curbs, Sidewalks and driveways.
    • The roadway closure is expected to last from June 5th  thru August 4th while Pine Grove Elementary is out of session for the summer.
    • Detour Route will be set up to detour traffic to the North on SW 4th Ave and SW 8th Ave and to use SW 4th Street to the East and West.
    • Crews this week began installing the new Drainage structures along the North side of SW 10th St.
    • Crews also milled off the existing asphalt roadway and began excavation on the West end for installing the new sub-base for the new pavement.
  • Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
