Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 6/23/23
- The new concrete abutments which will support the new Pedestrian Bridges along Lowson Blvd at the Canal Bridge just West of Congress are now complete.
- Crews continued framing up and pouring concrete along the North Side of SW10th St between SW 4^th Ave to Mango Dr to begin the installation of the new concrete sidewalks.
- Work continued along SW 10^th St between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave in the Road Closed Section with crews installing new drainage structures and pipe, framing up and pouring new concrete curbs and sidewalks and also excavating and placing base rock for the new roadway.
- Crews will be working this Saturday, 6/24/23 in the SW 10^th Ave Road Closed section.

Upcoming Week of 6/26/23 – SW 10^th Street Road Closure
- SW 10^th Street is closed to Thru Traffic during the reconstruction of the roadway between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave. This work will include removal of the exiting roadway, installation of new road base and pavement, along with new Concrete curbs, Sidewalks and driveways.
- The roadway closure is expected to last from June 5^th thru August 4^th while Pine Grove Elementary is out of session for the summer.
- Detour Route is set up to detour traffic to the North on SW 4^th Ave and SW 8^th Ave and to use SW 4^th Street to the East and West.
- Reconstruction of the roadway continues with crews installing new drainage pipe & structures, framing up and pouring new concrete curb & gutters, pouring new concrete driveways and sidewalks and excavation of the new roadway pavement with new aggregate sub-base.
