Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 6/2/23
- New Drainage work continued along the south side of SE 10^th St between SE 2^nd Ave to SE 4^th Ave.
- Crews began framing up for the new concrete abutments which will support the new Pedestrian Bridges along Lowson Blvd at the Canal Bridge just West of Congress.
- Excavation, framing and pouring concrete for the new Shared Use Path along the south side of SW 10^th Street between SW 17^th Ave to SW 12^th Ave continued.
- Excavation for the Shared Use Path on the North side of SW 10^th St from SW 17^th Ave to the Railroad Crossing began.
Upcoming Week of 6/5/23
- Continue along the South side of SW 10^th Street between SW 10^th Ave to SW 17^th Ave with excavating and framing up and pouring the new concrete shared use path.
- Begin pouring the new Concrete Shared Use path along the North side of SW 10^th St from SW 17^th Ave to the Railroad Crossing.
- Continue with Drainage work along SE 10^th St between SE 2^nd Ave to S. Dixie Hwy.
- Continue framing up and setting rebar for the new Pedestrian Bridge abutments along Lowson Blvd at the Canal Bridge East of Congress.
SW 10^th Street Road Closure to begin the week of June 5, 2023:
- SW 10^th Street is scheduled to be closed to Thru Traffic during the reconstruction of the roadway between SW 4^th Ave to SW 8^th Ave. This work will include removal of the existing roadway, installation of new road base and pavement, along with new Concrete curbs, Sidewalks and driveways.
- The roadway closure is expected to last from June 5^th thru August 4^th while Pine Grove Elementary is out of session for the summer.
- Detour Route will be set up to detour traffic to the North on SW 4^th Ave and SW 8^th Ave and to use SW 4^th Street to the East and West.
Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
