- Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 5/5/23:
- Work continued along the North side of SW 10th St between SW 10th Ave to SW 16th Ave with crews grading and pouring concrete curbs and Shared Use Path/Sidewalks.
- Crews also continued grading for the new shared use path along the south side of SW 10th St between SW 8th Ave to SW 10th Ave.
- Drainage work at SW 10th St and SW 8th Ave also continued with installing the drainage pipe across SW 8th Ave.
- Crews also were grading the parkways/swale areas along Lowson Blvd between Homewood Blvd to the Pedestrian Bridge.
- Pedestrian Bridge: Installation of the concrete piles which will support the new Pedestrian Bridges were completed this week!
- Upcoming Week of May 8th:
- Continue working along SW 10th St between SW 17th Ave to SW 10th Ave with completing the Concrete Sidewalks/Shared-Use path along the North side. Work is also scheduled to begin milling the pavement and placing the new 1st lift of asphalt.
- Continue working along SW 10th St between SW 8th Ave to SW 10th Ave on the south side and installing the new concrete shared use path.
- Finish grading the parkway/swales along Lowson Blvd between Homewood to Dover Road and begin placing sod.
- Pedestrian Bridge on Lowson Blvd between Congress and Homewood Blvd
- Installation of the Concrete Piles is now complete. Crews will now begin excavating and framing up the new concrete support pads which will support the two new Pedestrian Bridges.
- Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
