• Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 5/19/23
    • Work continued along SW 10th St between SW 10th Ave to the SFRTA Railroad with crews milling the pavement and placing the 1st lift of Asphalt in the two West Bound Lanes.
    • Crews continued with pouring the new Concrete Shared Use Path along the south side of SW 10th St between SW 8th Ave to SW 10th Ave.
    • Crews also poured concrete aprons around drainage inlets along Lowson Blvd between Dover Rd to the Pedestrian Bridge.
    • Excavation for the new Pedestrian Bridge abutments/Bent Ends was also completed.
    • Excavation for the new Shared Use Path along the south side of SW 10th Street between SW 17th Ave to SW 12th Ave has begun.
  • Upcoming Week of 5/22/23
    • Continue working along SW 10th St between SW 10th Ave to the SFRTA Railroad with milling the pavement and placing the 1st lift of asphalt in the East Bound lanes.
    • Continue along the South side of SW 10th Street between SW 10th Ave to SW 17th Ave with excavating and framing up and pouring the new concrete shared use path.
    • Continue with Drainage work along SE 10th St between SE 2nd Ave to S. Dixie Hwy.
    • Pedestrian Bridge on Lowson Blvd:  begin framing up and installing the reinforcement bars for the new Bridge abutments/bent ends is scheduled to begin.
  • Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas
  • Upcoming SW 10th Street Road Closure to begin the week of May 30th:
    • SW 10th Street is scheduled to be closed to Thru Traffic during the reconstruction of the roadway between SW 4th Ave to SW 8th Ave. This work will include removal of the exiting roadway, installation of new road base and pavement, along with new Concrete curbs, Sidewalks and driveways.
    • The roadway closure is expected to last from May 30th thru August 4th while Pine Grove Elementary is out of session for the summer.
    • Detour Route will be set up to detour traffic to the North on SW 4th Ave and SW 8th Ave and to use SW 4th Street to the East and West.
