Weekly Update 2/24/2023

Weekly Update for the Lowson Blvd Improvement Project 2/24/23
- Crews continued with framing up and pouring new concrete Shared-Use Path along both the North and South sides of Lowson Blvd between the Canal Bridge towards Congress Blvd.
- Drainage work continued along Lowson Blvd/SW 10^th St between SW 17^th Ave to SW 10^th Ave at installing new drainage structures and adjusting existing structures for the new improvements.
- Asphalt paving crew began finished paving the driveway entrances along Lowson Blvd west of the Canal Bridge.
- Construction work also started between Swinton Ave to SW 4^th Ave, which will include new Curb & Gutters, Drainage improvements and concrete sidewalks.
Upcoming Week of February 27^th :
- Finish pouring the concrete Shared Use Path along the South sides of Lowson Blvd between the Canal Bridge towards Congress.
- Continue with the Drainage Improvements along SW 10^th St/Lowson Blvd between SW 17^th Ave to SW 10^th Ave.
- Begin removing and installing the new sidewalks along SW 10^th St on the North Side between SW 17^th Ave to SW 10^th Ave.
- Continue with roadway improvements along SW 10^th St between Swinton Ave to SW 4^th Ave.
Motorists can expect minor delays traveling thru the Work Zone Areas.
Upcoming Public Outreach Meeting March 7^th
- Public Outreach Meeting for the New Pedestrian Bridge at the Canal will be held at 6pm to 7pm at the Swinton Operations Complex at 200 SW 6^th St. in Delray Beach. Meeting will discuss the upcoming installation of the new Pedestrian Bridges at the Canal Bridge between Congress and Homewood Blvd.
